Behind The Brand

AMZ Saddles is a company based in the beautiful Teesdale

area of County Durham, owned and run by Amy Taylor.

Amy is a keen horse-woman with a wealth of knowledge.

Getting her first pony at the age of 4, Amy's love of horses

continued on from that point and has brought us here today.

Having competed successfully across a range of

disciplines, Amy decided to go and pursue a career in horses

running a busy yard of youngsters, schooling and competition

liveries, and is also a qualified UKCC coach.

Saddles fascinated her with the link between saddle fit and

performance at the centre of that and so the journey began!

Now, with over 13 years experience of saddle fitting, this has taken over from Amy's other equine work although she does still have a yard full of horses both out competing at national and international level and youngsters.

When AMZ Saddles was created in 2018, Amy had a very clear vision that  she wanted to provide quality, British made saddles to ensure the optimal comfort of both horse and rider regardless of discipline, size or type.

After much consideration on the design of the different styles and leather

types, AMZ was born! 
 

Now with hundreds of happy customers, including many international

riders, AMZ is a huge success and is regularly featured in national

equestrian publications such as Horse & Hound, and Amy herself has

featured in some business and lifestyle magazines who took an interest in

the story of the success of the brand.
