Last month we mentioned we’d had some great weather to kick off the spring, and that trend has certainly continued into May. If you were one of the lucky people who made it to Badminton and enjoyed sunshine and amazing sport for a few days, I hope you had the most amazing time. It looked incredible and it was so good to have it back after three whole years. Even here in the often-chilly north we’ve been basking in glorious sunshine for the past few weeks, and it really does feel like a treat, though I’m sure I’m not alone in hoping that we get a little bit of rain to soften the ground up…
In case you didn’t spot it on social media, last month I unveiled my brand-new dressage saddle design, the Platinum. This was on the back of the super successful launch of the Platinum jump saddle. We have two more new saddle launches due this month as well so it is busy, busy, busy at AMZ HQ! If you would like to book in for a fitting so that you can get your hands on one of these, just drop us a line using the form or the contact information here.
I will be showing off the new Platinum dressage and jump saddle at Bramham International Horse Trials in June, where AMZ Saddles is also sponsoring the new BE80 Championships! This is such an exciting opportunity for riders competing at BE80 to compete in the amazing backdrop of Bramham Park and alongside some of the leading riders in the sport. This class takes place on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the horse trials, and I will be there with the trade stand for the full six days. If you’ve never been before, here are three things I love about this wonderful event:
1. The surroundings
Bramham Park is a stunning spot for an equestrian event wrapped around a Grade I-listed 18th century country house and all nestled in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. The rolling parkland is a great backdrop for some thrilling equestrian sport and lots of very Instagram-worthyphotos.
2. The equestrian competition!
The highlight of the week for eventing fans is the CCI4*, with both long and short-format classes taking place as well as an under-25 competition. But if you prefer dressage, showing or show jumping, you’ll find plenty of that going on too. The fun and exciting spectacle of the Pony Club mounted games will be in the main arena on the Saturday and Sunday of this year’s event
3. The shopping
Bramham will welcome lots of super trade stands (including AMZ Saddles!) If you live locally or you’re staying nearby then it might interest you to know you can get into the site for free between 4pm and 8pm on the Friday for some late night shopping! Make sure you bring your bank card as this year's Bramham is totally cashless, and I hope you’ll stop by the AMZ stand to see me.
Good luck to everyone who is competition at Bramham, and I can’t wait to see the AMZ branding as we sponsor the BE80 Championship. Make sure you tag us in your pictures from the event! If you haven’t got your tickets for Bramham yet, pop over to their website now to snap them up.
