So far May has delivered one thing in spades - rain! After a cool but very dry start to spring, the April showers seem to have arrived a little late and the ground now seems to be getting a daily soaking. I can’t complain, despite the rather damp and bedraggled look I’m constantly sporting on saddle fitting visits, as the ground really needed a good watering. I can’t ever remember seeing it as cracked and dry in April as it was this year - it looked more like midsummer ground.
And that extra cut in the ground has come at just the right time, as equestrian events step up a gear and we welcome spectators back. The return of fans and supporters also means something very exciting for me and the rest of the AMZ Saddles team… Yes, it means the tradestand is being dusted off and we’re getting ready to take it on tour!
I’ve been so thankful for everyone who has supported the business during lockdown and purchased the branded merchandise online - I really couldn’t have carried on without you! But I have to say I’m so looking forward to seeing our sponsored riders and meeting new customers at events. Plus, there’s great competition to watch when I’m able to take a break from manning the stand. It’s felt like a long time and I can’t wait to see some familiar and friendly faces once more.
Here are some of the events I’m taking the trade stand to in the near future, and make sure you keep an eye out for more details on social media too.
Warwick Hall Horse Trials Frenchfield Horse Trials
Burgham International Horse Trials
I’m also delighted to share the news that AMZ Saddles is supporting some key local events with sponsorship this spring and summer. It’s so important to support our much-loved local venues and events so that they can carry on after such a rollercoaster over the past 18 months. I’m also a keen competitor so I’m keen to protect the local circuit and ensure the longevity of my favourite events!
